Job Description
Creative yet process thinking & Business Strategy
Lead the development and communication of the vision and drive the desired growth in the region.
Develop and execute a strategic plan to ensure long term growth, profitability and market share are in line with shareholders expectations.
Identify business opportunities including new markets, channels, products, suppliers and customers and lead the feasibility study, planning and implementation of approved projects.

Build the annual business plan in line with the division’s strategy & ensure its timely execution with all the stakeholders.

Recommend brands and business lines that would best fit the territories based on commercial and financial analysis.



Partner Relationship Management

Build relationships and create buy-in from existing and potential new brand partners for the division’s strategy.

Analyze brand & product performance and identify opportunities to improve the business and brand returns through jointly working on solutions and opportunities.

Lead the discussions and negotiations with brand principals in conjunction / alignment with the Managing Director.



Financial Management & KPI Reporting

Take full responsibility of the division’s P&L performance and continually monitor actual performance against plan.

Work with the Operations and Finance teams in formulating, developing, and implementing sales strategies, sales margin, targets and objectives.

Establish reporting processes and communication protocols to provide top management with effective information about the financial performance and potential opportunities.

Continuously identify opportunities to streamline processes, optimize sales and control costs.

Establish a divisional dash board with agreed KPI’s & metrics (sales vs. targets, stock reports... etc.) and reporting schedule.



Buying & Brand Management

Build & Lead a strong buying & & merchandising teams to ensure that it’s ultimately delivering a balanced range of products that exceed the customers' expectations through approving the seasonal purchase budgets, OTB planning, etc. and who constantly review performance.

Analyze the market trends and take actions to improve sales, profitability and maximize opportunities.

Create the buy-in strategy from existing and potential new brand partners.

Follow up with the marketing team to ensure that promotions, product, marketing campaigns and brand launches are planned and implemented in accordance with the guidelines and effectively communicated through retail channels.

Responsible for setting product and pricing strategies



Conceptual mind & Customer Experience

Understand the customer and design focused shopping experiences that delight the customer and drive more sales

Analyze consumer & industry trends and create new retail concepts to draw new customers and grow revenue

Manage the ongoing team to guide and approve the brand’s trend direction and provide a consistent customer experience.



People Management

Conduct regular meetings with direct reports to review trade, align resources and seek ideas to improve performance.

Ensure selection, allocation, development & motivation of a high performing team to meet staffing requirements in keeping with the division’s desired culture and customer service excellence.

Ensure succession plan in place to meet the current and future requirements of the business and retain high potential & high performing team members.

P&L/revenue/budget responsibility for results which directly impact the bottom line, people, systems and processes.

Degree and or professional qualification along with around 15 years relevant experience.

Develops buying and merchandise best practice principles.

Products focused enable to launch new ranges and new brands successfully.

Actively seeks new opportunities to grow each market successfully and sustainably.

Succession planning and people development.
