Director Maintenance Operations Panasonic Avionics Abu Dhabi

Job Description:
We seek a Director, Maintenance Operations to act as a key business leader in the Maintenance Service organization with a focus on ensuring the organization is provided with strong technical direction and adequate resources. The role holder will oversee technical (maintenance) planning and analysis, develop and lead the technical program management group to ensure excellent technical performance of service programs, preparation and supply of technical publications to all service locations within the region.
Major Responsibilities
Oversee the management of the Maintenance Control Centre responsible for providing technical support to all Panasonic Avionics customers
Ensure the operational sites have the appropriate resources to perform at the agreed standards and practices.
Develop and manages a Technical Program Management team responsible for the technical performance of service programs, retrofit programs and any other MS related technical activity.
Manage technical program plans that identify work scope, schedules, milestones, and program team members to ensure contracted programs are planned and accomplished.
Participate with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives and develop performance requirements among team to consistently work towards delivering a superior quality product.
Ensure on-time delivery of adequate equipment and training publications to MS operational locations in addition to and training programs.
Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth knowledge of the company.
Directs and controls activities of a broad functional area through several department managers within the company.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of experience with managing an aviation technical support organization with a minimum of 5 years management experience in Aviation Engineering / Maintenance including 5 years of project management experience.
Preferred a detailed / technical knowledge of In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity systems, equipment and support.
Must have a strong knowledge of global civil aviation regulations, aviation maintenance training and technical publication methods and standards
Possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Possess excellent English communication skills including the ability to present to executive decision makers.
Must be familiar with the use of Performance Management systems and possess the ability to organise and implement department objectives.
