The Engineering Director - Beverages will lead the AMENA Beverages Engineering team, providing Centre of Excellence (CoE) subject matter expertise on Beverage Process/Packaging Technologies to deliver the AMENA capital agenda and drive breakthrough Innovation to deliver productivity goals across AMENA, spanning ~20 Beverage Company Owned Bottling Operation (COBO) plants. The role acts as the primary gatekeeper of PepsiCo`s Engineering specifications, centerlines and standards for Beverage Technologies, in line with PepsiCo Global strategies. In addition to CoE leadership, this role will provide Project Management of AMENA-lead Pilot projects. The role covers portfolio across all Beverage process/packaging platforms; as well as being the liaison with global groups on New Product Development (NPD) and Global Nutrition Group (GNG) agenda. Will also provide technical support to 3rd party Joint Venture (JV)/Franchised Owned Bottling Operations (FOBO) as required.

Lead the AMENA Beverage Engineering Team, providing technical CoE leadership on Beverage technologies ensuring delivery of overall technical agenda spanning growth/innovation/productivity meeting operational / quality / safety standards
Ownership of scoping & costing of Beverage technology components of major Capex proposals
Ensure that overall AMENA Beverage engineering strategy is aligned with PepsiCo Global strategy
Development, gatekeeping and deployment of Beverage Engineering Standards across Sector
Lead the AMENA Beverage Innovation agenda across Process/Packaging and champion applications of new Beverage technologies to drive Opex/Capex productivity
Liaise with global Beverage and Nutrition groups, R&D, and commercialization teams on the Engineering aspect of NPD (New Product Development), Nutrition (Dairy/Juice) and portfolio transformation projects
Provide support to 3rd party JV & FOBO on technical terms, on need basis
Ownership of the functional Beverage Engineering strategy
Represent AMENA Sector Beverage in the PepsiCo Global Engineering Council
Lead international Beverage vendor relations at Top2Top level
Ownership of full project cycle inclusive of project management of Sector Lead beverage programs and Pilot projects
Support Beverage Engineering capability-building of AMENA field engineering team through formal engineering trainings & events
Closely collaborate with AMENA Performance & Productivity (P&P) team ensuring that Engineering initiatives/centerlines/specs are fully in line with Manufacturing Operations Support (MOS) needs; as well as taking ownership of the Engineering components of the productivity initiatives
With Sector EHS, lead the equipment MESS safety compliance roadmap & ensure investments meet requirements
